A SERIES OF FORTUNATE EVENTS
VIP KICK-OFF RECEPTION
The series begins with a sneak peek of ULTRALIGHT, an exhibition of artists living with disabilities, taking back control of the narrative of what it means to live with disabilities. ULTRALIGHT is curated by Ruth Gould, a Deaf Artist and artistic director of DaDaFest, in Liverpool, UK.

VIP Reception attendees will be the first to see the ULTRALIGHT exhibition, have a chance to meet the artists, and hear from Arts Access and First Lady Kristin Bernhardt Cooper. Drinks and heavy hor d'oeuvres will be provided!

TICKETS
The VIP Kick-Off is open to Series-ticketholders and sponsors, only. Series Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $40. Series Tickets provide you access to all five events throughout the series. You can purchase your tickets here, or review sponsorship opportunities (which start at $100) here!

ACCOMMODATIONS
VAE Raleigh is a single-story facility with a street-level entrance with curb-cut access. The facility has two accessible restrooms. Seating will be dispersed throughout the gallery for your convenience. ASL interpretation, audio description, and other reasonable accommodations can be provided, with a nine-day advanced notice. PARKING
On-street parking is available and free after 5pm in Downtown Raleigh. Accessible parking spaces are dispersed throughout downtown. The closest parking decks to VAE Raleigh are The Municipal Building Deck at 201 W Morgan Street and the Wake County Parking Deck at 412 S McDowell Street.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The free Downtown Raleigh R-line has two stops within two blocks of VAE. R-10 at the corner of Harrington Street and Hargett Street and R-11 at the corner of Harrington Street and Davie Street. VAE is located 5 blocks West of the current bus station at Moore Square.
